Herbal Home Apothecary

This workshop series will allow you to create your own herbal home apothecary for your family over a 3 season period. Take charge of your health by learning the medicinal properties of local herbs. Prepare and store your own herbal remedies for use at home.
In this workshop series you will: · Identify local medicinal herbs · Learn about the medicinal properties of local weeds · Harvest and collect herbs ethically and sustainably · Prepare your own medicinal remedies · Learn proper storage techniques · Learn how and when to use the herbal medicines you’ve acquired Materials (other than the plants themselves) not included. Individual materials may be purchased onsite or brought from home. You will receive instructions on what materials are required prior to each workshop. Example materials may be mason jars, scissors, olive oil, a paper bag, etc. Workshops are designed in a series for you to create a full herbal first aid kit for your family, however you may also attend any individual workshop. Location: West Ottawa Dates: Every second Saturday of the month beginning in April. |
Children's Herbal Pops - AN Herbal Workshop - LIVE online

Making herbal health supports for children is quick and easy. Make summer fun herbal pops, yum-balls (kids think it's chocolate but you know better!) and syrups for the long cold season.
A list of required material will be sent to you one week in advance of the workshop. Please feel free to listen, ask questions and take notes if you prefer not to get your hands dirty just yet. Location: This is a LIVE online event and may be taken anywhere with an internet connection. Dates: Every second Tuesday of the month beginning in June. |
